Founded as an organization to improve the standards of assessment practice, the Michigan Assessors Association serves as a clearinghouse for the collection and distribution of useful information relative to assessment administration. The Association also promotes uniformity, equity, and justice in the distribution of the tax burden though property tax legislation and continuing education of assessment professionals as well as the public.
August 6, 2011 through August 10, 2011 marks the 39th Annual Summer Conference of the Michigan Assessors Association in Bellaire Michigan. A key event at the conference is the Association’s Annual Business Meeting where the Board of Directors and Committee Chairs report to the membership on current and future efforts of the Association.
